'All Change'

June is the end of our 'Lionistic Year' and when we elect our new Club Officers. This year we held the event at the Bowls Club and were pleased of the shade from a hot day.

After an extremely busy, eventful, extended stay in office, Lion Daniel Bradford was relieved to pass on the weighty chain of office to Lion Andy Crossey.

Changeover 1

During the ceremony we managed to find photos of both the new Past President and our new President from thier 'formative years'... Can you guess 'who's who'?

Changeover 2

Words from our Lion President Andy Crossey

"First, I would like to offer a huge thank you to Daniel Bradford as outgoing Lion President. Under his leadership the club has generated record breaking funds from our events at a time of difficult financial circumstances for many. This means we can offer even more support to our community at a time when it has never been needed more.

I would also like to thank the other officers for their hard work in supporting our club. We have weathered a few storms and we are here - ready, willing, and able to start another year of fun events, generating funds and supporting those that need our help.

We are a strong and thriving club at a time when others are closing. But to continue our success, we need to attract new people, we need to be relevant, and we need to be fun.

We have within our club the skills and experience to run great events and despite the headwinds we will encounter from time to time, our attitude needs to be not  ‘we can’t do it because of xyz’ but ‘how will we do it despite xyz’.

I know our club can rely on your ongoing support. I look forward to another great year, and I thank you once again for allowing me to be your Lion President."
