Do you want to be a ‘Friend of Lions’?
Do you want to help others and have some fun at the same time but cannot commit or want to attend regular club meetings? Then, why not become a ‘Friend of Lions’.
Last year our club generated over £25,000 for charity, largely local causes. But we have ambitions to do even more in our community. And, of course, have fun while doing it!
This is where you come in.
If you feel you might be able to contribute some time let us know and we will add you to our ‘Friends of Lions List’ and keep you informed of the events we have planned and how you might be able to help us (and the community!) without becoming a Lion.
What could it involve?
- Help us at the Winslow 10K run, marshalling and registration… without running!
- Help us at the North Bucks Bike Ride, marshalling and registration… without cycling!
- Help us at the Winslow Show, manning the beer tent and classic car display.
- Checking entry tickets at the Bucks Show… with free entry and lunch for helpers!
- But, most importantly, help us support our local and international community.
The Lions Club of Winslow is a thriving club with over 40 members. But we could do with more!
We welcome applications to become a ‘Friend of Lions’ from anyone over 18 – all you need is a willingness to help in our community.
