Who are the Lions Club of Winslow?
The Lions Club of Winslow was founded in 1982. Our 'Mother Club' was Lions Club of Buckingham and was formed due to the interest of Winslow residents wishing to start their own 'local' Lions Club. Since then the club has grown to become one of the larger clubs in the Lion Region. Currently with over 40 members and we 'Pride' ourselves in having a good time raising funds for local, national or international causes or actually carrying out charitable duties in the local area. Business Meetings - We meet on the second Wednesday of the month. This normally takes the form of reviewing minutes of the previous Business Meeting and considering applications for charitable donations and discussions on upcoming fund raising activities. Social Meeting - Every month we try to hold an event to focus on the social aspects of being a 'Lion'. This may vary from guest speakers, quizzes, visits and even trips away. |
